Requirements Definition and RFP Development
Bowne provides a full range of system development life cycle (SDLC) services for development of new software solutions or major enhancements. During the critical Requirements Definition phase, Bowne business analysts conduct work sessions with project stakeholders to determine functional, data, non-functional (e.g., performance, availability, security), system interface, conversion and system acceptance and testing requirements.
In many cases the Requirements Definition becomes the basis of a Request for Proposals (RFP) subsequently issued by the client for development and implementation of the new system. Bowne supports clients by compiling the Requirements Definition, client terms and conditions and other boilerplate language into an RFP document, establishing the evaluation criteria and scoring methodology, assisting with determining the proper means and targets of distribution, fielding vendors’ requests for information and evaluating proposals that are submitted, culminating in a recommendation.
