Custom Application Development

Bowne designs and develops custom web and desktop applications using the latest tools and development environments. We pride ourselves on delivering solutions that accurately reflect and support the business need and provide a user friendly experience. Our applications emphasize optimal performance and security. Our team can deliver compelling front-end applications, the backend database and systems infrastructure, or both.

Bowne has created dozens of web applications for clients.  Most of the web applications developed by Bowne involve the use of geographic information systems (GIS) and are deployed as intranet solutions.

Bowne has experience working with the most common RIA environments including Flex, Silverlight, and Java. Our experiences include development efforts using the JavaScript API with clients such as Westchester County, the Silverlight API with clients such as Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead and the Flex API with clients such as the Town of Greenburgh.

For over 25 years, Bowne has provided full service consulting services to clients managing different technology environments, becoming familiar with all types of technologies as they emerge. This obviously includes RIA development technologies. We are very excited about the emergence of RIA environments as well as the ESRI integration capabilities as it provides our core team of GIS consultants the ability to design and implement rich and powerful GIS solutions for our customers.
