Street Network Inventory, Condition Assessment and Pavement Management Program Description Bowne completed an analysis and inventory of the Town’s roadway system by dividing the street network into over 9,500 segments and, through field inspection, assigned each segment a pavement condition rating score in accordance with the New York State Department of Transportation Rating Manual. Pavement distresses were also recorded. From the system condition ratings and distress data, pavement design of repair and reconstruction was performed and construction costs were estimated. Options of 10, 15, and 20 year pavement management/budgeting programs were prepared and delivered to the Town. Products supplied were a 40” x 65” digital wall map showing street system conditions ratings by color coding. Tables were produced showing the condition ratings and distresses of each of the 9,500 segments sorted alphabetically and by condition rating. A report was delivered summarizing the findings and explaining the design solutions, the cost estimating and the roadway system management options with recommendations. Bowne Services
