Storefront Façade Renovation
Town of North Hempstead, NY Community Development Authority
Description
Bowne’s architectural team designed a new façade for a block of storefronts in New Cassel in the Town of North Hempstead. The project was conceived and designed in two phases, with a one-story design that could be easily converted to a two-story version at a later date.

Bowne and the client agreed that in order to blend with the character of the neighborhood, the new façade design should appear as if it had evolved naturally, over time. Thus, rather than imposing a uniform look on the existing buildings, Bowne designed a variety of façade treatments.

The result is a block of storefronts that meld comfortably with their context, while creating a new focal point for the neighborhood, and further anchoring the commercial district of the community.
