Extension of Glen Cove Road Description
Bowne, as a subcontractor to STV, Inc., participated in a federally aided project for the extension of the Glen Cove arterial (NYS Rte.107), to improve access to the Glen Cove waterfront. Bowne engineers designed new horizontal and vertical alignment to minimize impact on the area and on sensitive environmental resources. Bowne’s team of engineers, surveyors, and drafting personnel prepared plans and specifications consistent with NYSDOT requirements for locally administered projects. The design included grading and drainage as well as street lighting. Bowne also prepared acquisition maps and legal descriptions for a new right-of-way required as a result of the new alignment. A utility inventory was prepared pursuant to NYSDOT requirements, and conflicts with the new drainage facilities were resolved. Bowne also assisted with preparation of the design report and environmental assessment (DR/EA). Construction support services are being provided as construction progresses. Bowne Services
