June 2007 Robert J. Bornholdt Joins Bowne as Director The partners of Sidney B. Bowne & Son, LLP of Mineola announced that Robert J. Bornholdt, former Director of Traffic Safety for the Suffolk County Department of Public Works has joined the firm as Director of Traffic Engineering. Mr. Bornholdt retired from Suffolk County with 44 years experience in all phases of traffic engineering and transportation planning. As the Director of the Traffic Engineering and Safety Division and Executive Secretary of the Suffolk County Traffic Safety Board, Mr. Bornholdt was responsible for all traffic engineering issues relating to the 400 mile Suffolk County road system. He interacted with both the public and private sectors to advance the needs of an always changing and evolving roadway network.
