August 2005 Bowne Surveyor Tests Online GPS Course, Publishes Results Sidney B. Bowne & Son, LLP (SBB) is pleased to announce the publication of Peter Lazio’s paper entitled “GPS Geodesy and Applications (GPS-GAP): An Internet Based Geodesy and GPS Educational Application” in the ACSM Journal Surveying and Land Information Science, Volume 65, No. 2 (2005). In the paper, Mr. Lazio, a Licensed Surveyor and GPS Survey Manager at Bowne with 25 years of surveying experience, explains his experiences as the trial student of a new, mathematically rigorous set of online courses designed by Dr. Leick, author of one of the world’s leading texts on GPS. Surveying and Land Information Science, a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal, read annually by 6500 survey professionals, is devoted to land information science, surveying notes, and book and literature reviews.
