Sidney B. Bowne & Son, LLP is a wholly owned partnership of licensed architects, engineers and surveyors.

The name Bowne has been associated with surveying and engineering on Long Island since 1895. Currently, the firm is not only one of the oldest, but one of the largest consulting engineering firms located in Mineola, Long Island, with over 160 professional engineers and technical personnel.

Bowne is seeking an experienced engineer with electrical and mechanical background to work on variety of projects that include:

	Electrical power distribution systems for municipal, commercial and industrial clients.
	Controls, including SCADA systems.
	Interior and exterior lighting design.
	Stand-by power and mission critical facilities power.
	Fire alarm, fire protection and fire suppression systems.

Candidate should be capable of handling mechanical engineering aspects of the electro-mechanical systems involved. Familiarity with HVAC, BAS (Building Automation Systems), water and sewer systems and ability to conduct MEP assessments of various facilities is highly desirable.

Job tasks will range from performing field surveys and design work to preparation of contract documents and construction supervision.

Qualifications:

	BS in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
	Proficiency in AutoCAD.
	Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
	Familiarity with engineering design tools for relevant disciplines.
