Infrastructure Data Collection and GIS
Description  Bowne is responsible for an Infrastructure Data Collection project for the Town of North
Hempstead that covers all unincorporated areas of the Town and includes both street lights and
storm water structures. A GPS (PRO XR) is used to capture x,y coordinates and other attributes
requested by the Town. The data collected will be imported into the Town’s GIS database and
used for preparation of work orders and GASB34 financial statements and for more effective
management of the Town’s assets. The data will also eventually be available on the internet
via a custom-built web browser.
