Service Request Call Center

Description

In 2001, BMS successfully launched the City of New Orleans Public Works Service Request Center. The centralized system allows the City to track receipt and status of all public works related complaints, e.g., potholes, broken traffic lights, and abandoned vehicles. With each complaint, the online system generates a work order, which is immediately received by the proper unit to begin necessary repairs.

Under tight deadlines, Bowne, RJN Group, and the City worked together to implement the $250,000 call center that was made possible with capital improvement funding.
